Nora peppers (also known as pimiento choricero) are a small, round, intense and sweet-fleshed red bell pepper that is always used dry, to add flavor to stews or soups, or also to the 'chorizo' sausages.
These dried sweet red peppers are much more common in Spanish cuisine than chili peppers. They lend a wonderfully earthy taste to foods, are used in several rice dishes, such as paella where they lend their distinctive flavor.
